Heat Wave is Happening in August as an Author!

On August 1, 2026, I attended an author event at The Lost Pages Bookstore in Shawnee, OK. This is a new store that just opened in June 2026. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner who is also a very published author as well as talking to another author/illustrator who spent time talking with me. I enjoyed meeting customers coming into the store.
On the 7th and 8th of August 2026, I attended a book signing at Tinker Air Force Base Exchange. I was located right outside the Base Exchange doorway. I really enjoyed speaking with customers and military members about my book selections.
I had emotional support pickles on the table and gave out a Starbucks gift card for the Starbucks located in the BX vendor area which was across from where I was set up. I gave the gift card to the first customer who bought a book.

August 9th, 2026
For the next couple of months, I will be focusing on getting Book 13 out about bullying. I met with my co-author and illustrator via Zoom to go over some changes to the book.
It is exciting to see how close we are to having the book done. For Book 14, I have finished editing this book and will go on to the illustrator hopefully by the end of the fall. Book 15 will also go to the editor soon.
Besides the books, I have been on several fun podcasts: I think you will think it is “picklicious.”
