A little boy who is three years old knows that his daddy is in the Air Force. Sometimes, his daddy goes away for a long time while traveling to faraway places. The little boy is proud of him but also misses him when he is gone.
On one trip, the boy gets to see his daddy get on a military plane and fly away. Days later, when he returns, the boy does not realize how long he has been gone and says something that makes both of his parents laugh. But the boy is so happy to have his family reunited and does not mind that they are laughing. In this children's book, a young boy whose father is in the military gives his dad a surprise laugh when his dad arrives home unexpectedly.
